Like, if this was in OW, you’re really encroaching on Pharah’s turf as well. ![]() If this were done improperly in OW, Junkrat would basically never miss. You’re rewarded for direct hits as Junkrat, your punishment for missing is that people have time to escape. It sounds OP AF if it happens pretty much instantly after a miss though. If you keep the 3 bounce mechanic, but just add the vertical mechanic to replace the normal explosion, that’d be fair and balanced. ![]() Junkrat’s bombs are SUPPOSED to go off after 3 individual bounces, no matter how or where you fire them, the projectiles will always bounce 3 times and then explode unless they make a direct hit with something. It’s entirely dependent on how long it takes for that vertical AOE mechanic to go off. This would be such a positive change for junkrat as it would make him much more consistent and less annoying to die to due to the removal of his ‘spam’ and what feels like eternally lasting bouncing grenades that seem to always find there way to hit you Boucning off walls is still possible to shoot round corners as the aoe blast only activates once it has impacted the ground. ![]() This means if Dredge misses a direct shot his grenade will bounce up and create an aoe blast meaning even a missed shot can still have an impact. The main difference being instead of with Junkrat, whose primary explodes upon direct contact or finally exploding after 3-4 seconds of bouncing around causing junkrats primary to be extremely inconsistent and frustrating to die to the spam, Dredge’s grenades also explode upon direct contact but once they hit the ground immediately bounce vertically and explode in an aoe. Paladins have just announced their new hero Admiral Dredge whose primary fire is identical to Junkrat’s of shooting slow bouncing grenades.
